Real Estate Buying
There are many things to take into consideration when you are in search of a home. After you have determined what your budget is, there are other steps that play a big part in the process. Allow my expertise to be of valuable assistance and lead you through the journey. Below are a list of action items that I recommend you follow for a smooth transaction.
Pre-Approval: Once you have figured out what is a comfortable budget for spending on your home, be sure you connect with a reputable mortgage agent and find out what you can get approved for by a bank for a mortgage. Getting a pre-approval letter is imperative as you should have that on file for when you are ready to make your offer.
Neighborhood: There are many towns to consider when looking for your home. However, location from town to town can really vary in what they offer. Each town offers a unique way of life and finding one that suits your needs is where I can further assist. Whether you are in search of a seasonal home or all year round, I can guide you through all of the areas of consideration and point you in the best direction to fulfill your dream.
Ask Questions: As exciting as the home search can be, there are questions that you want to be asking aside from anything that is obvious. Some may seem fairly basic, but may not be at the top of your list when you are physically looking at the property. Questions like age of systems, why the seller is selling and proximity to nearby services are all valid questions that should be standard as you tour properties.
Home Inspection: A home inspection is one of the best reports that your money can buy. It doesn’t matter if the home is 2 or 20 years old, a professional eye that can “look under the hood” so to speak can give you the best information about the condition of the home. Information gathered from your inspection can assist you in budgeting for future repairs or in some cases can influence your offer should larger fixes be in need of immediate attention.
